Saving the World!
This project is due when you return from break and provides extra credit in Science. Provide photographic proof of you doing something to save the planet. Write a summary of what you did, why you chose that activity, what impact it had on our environment, and how you felt about the experience. Ideas: Plant a tree, change the light bulbs in your house to more efficient ones, recycle, walk/ride bike instead of riding in the car.
Rubric
Provide one to three photos demonstrating how your actions made a positive impact on the planet. Photos will be digitally inserted into your document so you do not need to print them. | 10 points |
Your writing should be well organized and descriptive with correct spelling and punctuation. | 25 points |

You will create a tri-fold brochure or a poster to promote travel on the Transcontinental Railroad. This project is due upon return from break and is optional and for extra credit in Social Studies.
