What to bring: towel, sunscreen, sunglasses and/or hat, water-shoes (flip-flops are too slippery). Wear your swimsuit under your school clothes. Put a pair of “undies” in your backpack for when we get ready to go home.

Our trip to see Shrek the Musical was fun, fun, fun! The weather was lovely and the companions were delightful. The FHS theater dept. made the play interactive with several chances for our students to participate on stage. The walk seemed a bit long but we counted five bird nests and eight fire hydrants along the way. We even saw the public library where many students have checked out extra books. Thank you to our many chaperones: Zoey’s mom, Brianna’s dad, Israel’s dad, Isabella’s mom, Na’Mat’s sister, Michael’s mom and sister. The weather looks great for our walking trip to Franklin HS tomorrow morning. Class time is 7:45 AM – 11:16 AM. We will dismiss as soon as we get back. It will likely be close to 11:30 AM.
Chaperones need to be here by 9:00 AM. Please let me know TODAY if you will be attending. Chaperones must also pay $5.00 for their own ticket.
We will have a small Friendship Party during class on Tuesday, February 16th. This will be a time to share notes of friendship and treats with our 24 classmates. If you would like to help out, click on the Volunteer tab above to sign up.
We have rescheduled our trip to see Shrek, Jr. for Wednesday Feb 10th. Students do NOT need a new permission form. Chaperones DO need to confirm with Mrs. Noya and Mrs. Petuya. We understand if you are not able to attend.

We will dismiss students as soon as we return. Chaperones need to be at school by 9:00 AM. Do NOT bring backpacks or snack bags. Check the weather report and dress appropriately!
Although the weather didn’t cooperate with our plans for the walking trip to Franklin HS, we had a fun day with a full room of friendly faces. Thank you to the brave parents who stayed with us for the morning. I will soon post photos of the day’s learning efforts.
I will be contacting FHS Theater Dept. to reschedule our trip. I will let you know what the new plan will be.
Mark your calendars for Tuesday, January 19th! We will be walking to Franklin High School for a student theater production of Shrek! We will join Mrs. Noya’s class for this early morning event. There are limited spaces for chaperones so if you would like to volunteer, you must email me right away.
Permission slips and payments are due by this Friday, January 15th.

We will attend the play unless there is a steady, heavy rain.
We have reached the end of our first Trimester! So, Mrs. Noya and I decided that we need a time to celebrate our success. On Thursday October 22nd all of our students will attend school from 7:45 AM – 11:16 AM. We’ll have tons of fun with games, treats, and fall-related activities.

We had a very safe and educational field trip today because of the many chaperons who volunteered their time to go with us. Huge “thank yous” go out to Kehara’s mom, Vivienne’s dad, Miley’s mom, Dorothy’s mom, Michael’s mom, Demarrie’s mom, Isabella’s mom, Zoey’s step-dad, and Waylan’s and Amelia’s mom. The pumpkins will be coming home tomorrow. If you decorate your pumpkin, please take a photo of it with your child and share it on Shutterfly. We’d love to see the creative outcomes.
We are going to the pumpkin patch tomorrow morning. Be at school at 7:45 AM! We will return by 12:00 Noon.
Bring your lunch in the paper sack provided last week. Do not bring lunch boxes or backpacks. Wear closed-toe shoes.
