We had a wonderful turn out at our TK Open House. I loved witnessing the leadership skills as each student gave instructions to their families tonight. They have all had a very successful year developing academically and socially. I am blown away by how many of my students are reading! Even more importantly, it is touching to see them filled with confidence and kindness. Thank you for allowing me to partner with you this year.

7:30pm – 8pm: Raffle, Food Trucks pack up, End of Book Fair
8pm – 10pm: Free family movie on the field on a huge outdoor screen, Free Popcorn, Free S’Mores and Beverages for purchase.
Dear Families,
Thank you so much for spending last Thursday evening in our classroom. It is my favorite day of the year because families come together to encourage all our young learners. I focused on connecting you to our online work because it is so precious to capture the essence of childhood through their voices and thoughts about their experiences. Childhood goes by in a flash, but with forever access online you can always return to these moments and hear the joy and wonder in their voices. Don’t forget to leave your own comments so your child can reminisce with fondness as they listen to your voice many years from now.

If you haven’t checked your child’s Seesaw folder lately, you are in for a bit of a shock. I finally had a few moments to upload the photos I have been taking over the last several weeks. As you can see there has been a great deal of learning going on! When you come to Open House tomorrow, I will be showing you how to access and capture these special moments forever online. We had a full classroom during our Open House on Thursday evening. I always love this time of year when the students have gained so much confidence and knowledge that they can now teach others. I think several parents were amazed that Kindergartners know about algorithms and computer programming. It certainly looked like everyone was having fun with all the activities. What did you think of the cole slaw made from our very own garden? I saw several students go back for seconds! Check out our Twitter feed for pictures and tweets from the evening.
Open House is happening this Thursday, June 11th from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. The students will be your tour guides through the classroom as they show you some of the many lessons that helped us learn so much this year. We look forward to seeing you then. đŸ˜€
