Tuesdays – Computer Lab 11:05 – 11:35 AM
Wednesdays – Communication Folder is due
Thursdays – Library books are due
Fridays – Communication Folder sent home

Here is a list of upcoming special events:
Wednesday 8/19 is Picture Day. Details are in the Communication Folder.
Friday 8/21- Z-Best Coupon Book Sale ends. Turn in orders and unsold books.
Monday 9/7 – Labor Day/No School
Friday 9/11 – Track Change Day. TK class hours are 7:45 – 11:16 AM.

Promotion Day Tomorrow!

We are very excited to have you join us as we celebrate our promotion to first grade. Here are some important details:
•Students need to come to school at the regular time, 7:45 AM.
*No backpacks are needed.
•Families need to be in the multi-purpose room before 9:00 AM.
•We need to begin and end on time as the room will be used for lunch.
•At the conclusion of our celebration, be sure to sign the early dismissal form before you take your child home.
*Friday will be a regular school day.

Field Trip Tomorrow!

Don’t forget tomorrow’s field trip to Laguna’s Awesome Party Palace.
Here are the important details:

• Our bus leaves school at 8:45 A.M.
• We will return at 11:16 A.M.
• Students MUST WEAR SOCKS!
• Wear shorts and a tank-top. (It gets hot inside!)
• Bring a small snack and water bottle in a ziploc bag
• Write your child’s name on the bag.
• Do NOT bring backpacks.
• Chaperones may ride the bus or drive their own car.

Open House!

Open House is happening this Thursday, June 11th from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. The students will be your tour guides through the classroom as they show you some of the many lessons that helped us learn so much this year. We look forward to seeing you then. 😀

Getting Ready for First Grade

In order to set your children up for a smooth transition to first grade, I have planned a few events:

Homework will now be provided on Friday and due on the following Friday.

We will have lunch in the cafeteria on Friday, June 12th at 10:40 AM. The cost is $2.50. Send it in an envelope with your child’s name on it. Please read over the green information page that was sent home last week and help your child plan their meal choices in advance. (It was also emailed to you.) Our time in the MP room is very limited.

We will visit a first grade classroom and bathroom in June. We will also use the big playground structure and practice the rules. If you would like to join us, please respond to this post.

Don’t forget that our promotion ceremony will be on Thursday, June 25th from 9:00 – 10:00 AM.

Ice Cream Social on Friday!

Yum! Yum! Yum! The Ice Cream Social is THIS FRIDAY! Come and enjoy the treats and activities from 4 PM – 7 PM. The Raffle will be held from 7 PM – 8 PM in the MP room. I will be there and hope to see you, too.

Book Fair

Miss June is still in need of some parent volunteers to help with the Book Fair next week. Contact her if you are able to help. Even a half-hour at dismissal time would be greatly appreciated. Call the school office at 714-0106 or email Miss June directly: skasemch@egusd.net

Our turn to view the Book Fair and purchase items will be on Tuesday from 10:30 – 11:00 AM. It would be wonderful to have some extra help at that time. If your child will be buying a book, remember to add 8% sales tax to purchase total.
