One important thing you should know about me is I LOVE teaching and I LOVE learning, too. My goal is to make our classroom a great place for curious people to spend time together and help each other learn something cool every single day.
I have been married to Pierre Petuya since 2007. Between us, we have five children and five grandchildren. Unfortunately, none of them live in Sacramento. We like to earn frequent flyer miles so we can visit them more often.
I have been teaching a long, long time. When I was ten years old I started a neighborhood preschool in my garage. I grew up in Michigan with two brothers and two sisters. I now have over 20 nieces and nephews. We are spread across the country so I don’t get to see them very often. When we do get together, it’s pretty noisy!
This is my first year at Leimbach as a computer resource teacher. I get to visit every classroom with lessons that apply technology in unique ways. What a joy! I have also taught preschool, transitional kindergarten, kindergarten, second, third, and fourth grades at other EGUSD schools. In my spare time, I really like teaching teachers how to integrate technology into their classrooms. I earned a Bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University. I also have a Master’s degree from University of LaVerne. Most recently, I earned an Administrative Credential. You see, teachers never stop going to school.
Hello, Mr. and Mrs Petyua I miss you very very much and aren’t able to get in touch with you by the internet
