Ms. Penrose uses 1/4 cup of sugar to make on batch of scones, 1/2 cup of sugar to make two batches, and 3/4 cup of sugar to make three batches. How many cups of sugar does she need to make six batches of scones?
for a sixth batch of scones she will need 1 2/4 of sugar
Ms.Penrose will need 1/2 of the bathces so she can make the cups of the sugar
Okay so the 1/2 is shorter because it makes 2. The 3/4 is faster because it makes 3. So 3/4 x 2 = 1 and 1/2 in simplest form. Regular is 1 and 2/4.
