Part of the EETT Grant is professional development. The writing component of the grant was headed up from folks from the Area 3 Writing Project (A3WP). Topics covered: Writer’s Notebook, Six Traits, Narrative and Persuasive writing.
Dusting Off the Cobwebs After Being Off-Track
Students are doing a “cold” write after a month long break. They are describing one activity they participated in during the month of May.
What Ended the Revolutionary War?
Students will write a paragraph which will include topic sentence, evidence and analysis sentence, and concluding sentence about why the war ended.
What Started the Revolution?
Students will write a paragraph with a topic sentence, evidence and analysis sentences, and a concluding paragraph about some of the reasons the colonist decided to separate from the British.
Should Ellen Become a Spy for the Patriots?
Students will write a paragraph with a topic sentence, several sentences providing evidence and analysis, and a concluding sentence on why or why shouldn’t Ellen become a spy.
