What will we learn in fifth grade?
We will be very busy this year.
1. Open Court reading and language arts. It will be modified to fit the CCSS.
2. Writing will be all CCSS for fifth grade.
3. We will be using Go Math for our math program.
4. Science and Social Studies will match the fifth grade California Content Standards. In Social Studies we will focus on the American Revolution. Science will be broken down into three sections, Earth, Physical and Life.
5. We will be using Open Court for our Spelling program.
6. We will be reading the novels The Lion, Witch, and the Wardrobe, Land I Lost and, Journey to Topaz.
