Today’s guest blogger, Jonah, recently took a family trip. Read to find out where and leave a comment.
Hi, my name is Jonah, and last weekend I went to San Diego. It was very exciting and we saw many tremendous sights, such as the Embarcadero, a harbor in San Diego. My dad got to play baseball on the field next to it. It was so fun. We got to see this air show honoring the U. S. Navy. At the air show we got to see the flyover of the amazing Blue Angels! I thought it was pretty awesome. Plus, we got to see this antique fighter jets used in World War II. There were dozens of them flying all over the place!
One of my most favorite places in San Diego was the Midway, an aircraft carrier used in World War II, just like those jets. It was used so planes could launch into war and land to get more fuel. I was amazed how the planes could land and launches off such a small platform. One of my favorite parts was when we got to see this fighter jet used in the movie “Top Gun.” What’s your favorite vacation place to go to?
That’s amazing Jonah! On my trip to San Diego, we went to Carlsbad to go to Legoland. The first thing we did was ride a rollercoaster. Then, we went to the driving test. When we finished the driving test, I got my driver’s license. Then, we went to see the play “Let it Snow”. It was about a girl who lived in San Diego and she wanted it to snow. So all of her stuffed animals came to life and made it snow. (It snowed bubbles!) On our last day, we rode on about five rollercoasters. Then, we went to a flying game where you would sit in a chair and you fly over the water. Then, we went to Miniland USA. There we saw cities like San Francisco, New Orleans, and Washington D.C. Washington D.C. is where we saw the White house. Next, I got to drive a boat. Finally, I bought some Lego’s. After Lego’s, we went to the hotel, played with the Lego’s, then we flew home back to Sacramento.

I went to College in San Diego–my oldest daughter now goes to the same college UCSD. It is a beautiful place to visit–and an even better place to live. I am glad you enjoyed your visit.
