This month, Prairie Elementary is recognizing students who show the Very Important Character trait, justice and fairness. Which one of your classmates do you believe deserves the VIC award for being fair? Write an argumentative paragraph explaining why he/she deserves the award.

V.I.C
V.I.C for tomorrow is justice and fairness. I would like to nominate Janeth because she tries to be fair and just every day.
Janeth lets people use her dry erase markers. If she doesn’t have enough she lets the people that ask to use them she lets them use them tomorrow. This is fair because she lets people use them the next day if they did not get to use them the day before.
We were playing a game and some people weren’t playing by the rules, but Janeth was and so she was doing the right thing. This shows she was just because the people that weren’t playing by the rules she didn’t copy them she did the right thing and played by the rules.
She does not pick on anyone. If a bully was picking on a kid she would defend the kid that is getting picked on. This situation is showing that she is fair because she defends the ill-treat kid and not the bully. Most people would take the bullies side because they are afraid of the bully. Janeth is fair and just to everyone.
VIC-Justice and Fairness ( December)
There are a lot of other classmates that are very just and fair, but I believe that E’mommy should be the VIC for this month. First of all when she is playing a game that others want to play too, she doesn’t tell them no or that there are too many people. This shows that she is just and fair because she is being fair to the people that want to play the game. Secondly, E’mommy plays by the rules.She is just and fair because she does not cheat at games. For example in fifth grade me and her were partners in a state capital game we saw others playing, but they were not playing the right way, by the rules. Then E’mommy told them the right way to play and that they shouldn’t cheat. Finally, she is just and fair because she doesn’t choose favorites. This makes her just and fair because she treats everyone equally and fair. For instance when people ask her who is her best friend she just says “ I have a lot so I can’t choose.” All in all, I believe E’mommy should be VIC for Justice and Fairness.
The person who has shown me Justice and Fairness this past month is Jodi. The way I have seen Jodi be fair, is that if she were to share something she wouldn’t just share with one person. That is being fair because she isn’t just sharing with her favorite friend she is sharing with everyone who is around her, she would share her snacks, and her school supplies. She would also always play by the rules. When somebody isn’t playing by the rules she say something because it wouldn’t be fair if one person got to cheat and the others just lose. She’d make sure that everyone is playing fair. A way I have seen her be just, is that Jodi doesn’t only let her friends play, she lets anybody else who is willing to play. When we play volleyball she would have the new player pick which team they would want to go on. Jodi is one of many people that have shown me Justice and Fairness, and that’s why I will like to vote for Jodi for this month’s VIC.
VIC
For the Justice and Fairness VIC this month, I think that Akila should win VIC. I think that she should win VIC because she is always fair. One example of her being fair is that she always shares with everyone. This makes her fair because she doesn’t have to share, but she does because she wants to be fair. Another example of her being just is that when someone does something wrong or harmful and doesn’t get in trouble, she always gives justice to them and gets them in trouble. This makes her just because she always wants to give justice to the person who did something wrong because she thinks it is not fair to others. Another example of her being fair is that when we all want something, Akila always makes us play rock-paper-scissors to settle the debate, so one of us can get it fairly. This makes her fair because she could just take it for herself, but she wants to settle it fairly. All in all, I think that Akila is deserving of the VIC title.

Johnny deserves to be VIC because he is fair and just. He should be VIC because he always plays fair. He is fair because he never cheats and he lets everyone play. This example makes Johnny fair because everyone should be able to play and games should be played fairly. Johnny also deserves to be VIC because he is just. He is just because he tells the truth and he respects everyone. This example makes him just because he doesn’t lie to people and everyone should be treated equally. Finally Johnny should be VIC because he is just. He is fair because he doesn’t pick on anyone. This example makes him fair because no one should be mean to others. As you can see, Johnny should be VIC.

In my opinion I think Javier should be V.I.C this month. I think Javier should be V.I.C because he is fair and just and he always plays fair. For example when we was playing soccer at recess David wanted all the good soccer players like William, Arturo, and Raynell but Javier was telling David that he could not do that because it was not going to be fair. So we did first captain and and second captain. Another time he was being fair was at P.E. for example when we was playing basketball Matthew was trying to cut Javier in the line so he can be on Ryan, O’mari, and my team. Then javier told matthew to go back and he didn’t so Javier said it was messed up he was on my team so he let Matthew stay and Javier went to the back of the line. The last reason I think Javier should be V.I.C is at lunch when he had an extra pizza. Angel wanted the pizza but at the same time I wanted the pizza so he just ate it. Then after lunch he told us that it wouldn’t be fair because if he gave it to Angel it would not be fair because I wanted it. All in all I think Javier deserves V.I.C for this month.

Justice and Fairness
Justice and Fairness are two of the most important traits. Those traits are important because they make people’s personality unique and it makes the person caring and sweet. The person I chose for VIC is Akila because she is always fair and she shares. For example, if Akila has an even amount of something she’ll share and give you some of her snack. Akila always makes things just, like if someone wants to play on the monkeybars Akila says you can see who can go faster and tag each other and makes it a game so they can both enjoy the monkey bars. Akila is just to others and even people on the playground that she doesn’t know. When she plays Sharks and Minnows Akila doesn’t play favorites, she plays by the rules. She doesn’t care who’s is on her team or if she does not want them on her team. She doesn’t yell at them or say mean things; she just plays. She lets everyone play and never says no to someone who wants to play because that wouldn’t be fair if she let everyone else play and not that person. Akila doesn’t call people names. She is always wanting to help. Whenever someone is gets hurt at recess Aklia makes them happy, comforts them, and takes them to the office. Akila is a very good friend and good classmate. This is why I am voting Akila for V.I.C Justice and Fairness.

For V.I.C. I think Raynell deserves it because he is fair and honorable. Every day he is always fair. My first reason is that when he plays soccer he does it fairly. He does not choose favorites. This is fair because people don’t feel bad and his friends are not the only ones playing. The next reason is that he is not greedy. When he brings snacks he shares with people. He never keeps snacks to himself. He likes to share with friends and classmates. My last reason is that he always follows the rules. When he learns the rules he never does them. He never bullies and never chews gum. He obeys the rules of the school and the playground.

For V.I.C. I choose Jodilyn because she has been fair to other people. Jodilyn she never picks on people at school. Jodi goes and makes people happy even people that she does not know. I believe Javier suits to be VIC for this month of justice and fairness. The first example is on the soccer field when we chose teams Javier does not care for what team he is on. He does not judge them that is how he is just. The second example is in soccer he does not trip others and does not foul too. He is being fair because he is playing by the rules. Another reason he should be VIC is because people who don’t have lunch he will share. He is just because he is sharing his food. All in all Javier is the right person to choose for VIC.
For justice and fairness I think Payton should be Vic.
At fast track Payton was being fair by giving his computer to me at the computer lab.
Also he was being fair by sharing the ball with everybody at the soccer field.
Another reason Payton as an act of justice pushed me out of the way to save me from the ball hitting my face.
And those are my reasons why Payton should be Vic.

For VIC I nominate Payton. I chose Payton because he is always there when you need him. One example is that when Arturo got hurt he came and helped him. Another reason I choose Payton is because he always plays by the rules. Like one time Payton was playing soccer and people were pushing and he wasn’t. The last reason I chose Payton is he always let’s me use his supplies. When I forget my pencils or something he’s always lends it to me. All in all for VIC for the month I nominate Payton.

This week for it should be Jonathan for VIC because he’s always helpful and thankful +and he’s always helping me out with things anything i need help on he helps me on it and he’s very smart. He’s one of the smartest 6th grader in our classroom there’s always shows respect. All the time to me and everyone in the classroom when. I get put in a group with him we always nail the test in class he is a very. Good hard worker anytime and anywhere and maybe one day he will teach me to be. A hard worker so i can grow up and be a teacher Jonathan. has lots of abilities he always gets good grades on math science and reading. And he has won a lot of spelling bees and it was fun once he won 1st place and then last time he won 7th place i was so happy Jonathan knows everything like math spelling and science and stuff and that’s my reason why i picked Jonathan
VIC-Justice and Fairness
For justice and fairness I would like to nominate David. I would like to nominate David because when we are doing math and we both have different answers he will help me improve my mistakes. This shows justice and fairness because he helped me to get the correct answer instead of letting me have the wrong answer. Another way he shows justice and fairness is because one time when we were playing a game and we lost the game because of me, so I blamed it on him and he took the blame instead of arguing with me. This shows justice and fairness because he knew we lost because of both of us. The last reason why I would like to nominate David for justice and fairness is because he raked leaves for the school. This shows justice and fairness by helping the janitor instead of letting them stay up late. Therefor that is why I would nominate David.
VIC – Justice and Fairness
I think that Jose should be VIC for justice and fairness. I am picking Jose because he doesn’t pick on people. That is being just because he is not being mean to people or being a bully. Another example is that he doesn’t pick people to be his favorite. That is being fair because he is not leaving people out. Last, he also follows the rules. He follows the rules by doing his homework every day and by being safe, respectful, and responsible. That is having justice and fairness because he is not lying or being a bad person. In conclusion, I think that Jose should be VIC because he has justice and fairness.

Even though everyone in our class is just and fair, I choose Janeth for V.I.C. I Think she should win because If two people want the same thing she makes them race or pick a number between ten. That shows fairness because she could have taken the snack that was offered. The second reason is that when people are unfair to each other she would tell that person not to be mean but to stop being unfair to each other. This shows fairness because she could’ve yelled at the kid but she did not. The third reason is she never play favoritism when she has snacks. This shows fair because when she has snacks she shares with all her friends and not just one person. Even though everybody is just and fair I choose Janeth.
VIC Justice and Fairness December 2015/2016
In Dec. we have VIC for justice and fairness. I already chose a person, that person is Jarsen. I chose him because when he plays a soccer game, he never plays with the good people in soccer. He always wants to play with everybody who is on his team. This is an example of him being fair because he doesn’t just pick the good people and leave the bad people. Whenever he sees someone in trouble in the playground or field, he steps right in and defends that kid/victim who is in trouble. Another reason is that when he always plays by the rules in a four square game, he never cheats or lies that the other person is out. Also when he is fair he also just takes his own fair share, one time he got less time to play in a four square game, but one time he saw someone get less time than him and he got out and gave the other person all the time of his. He is also honest with his homework. He does his own work and never cheats. He is a fair person. I hope you guys chose him too because he is a very fair and justice student to everybody in this whole school.
VIC For December
This month’s our school character trait is Justice and Fairness. The person who I picked for VIC is Javi. This is an example of being fair by not playing harsh in soccer, because if he did play harsh we would not let him play, and he is a good sport when his team loses.Second reason is by not picking on people like after recess when it’s crazy in our line, if he hears someone saying bad stuff to someone he defends them instead of joining. Third reason is that he only takes what he gets like whenever any of us brings a snack like a bag of chips he is great for what he gets and doesn’t beg for more. In soccer he doesn’t care in what team he is he just wants to play, he is always cheerful to the other team, and he always has a good attitude to play. Javi is never making fun of people and never bulling them, he doesn’t troll or fool them, he doesn’t roast.In conclusion, Javi is Justice and Fair.

I think javi should be V.I.C for fairness because he’s a good kid. His parents must of taught him well. H shows fairness by sharing. On the yard when someone wants one of balls javi always offers one of ours.That shows fairness because some kids don’t care and don’t want to be fair. Another reasoning that shows that javi deserve V.I.C. is when we give class meetings he waits his turn to speak. When Havi does something wrong he admits what he has done. That shows fairness by not being disrespectful and wait his turn. Javi plays by the the rules he doesn’t curse and care about others That’s why I think javi should be V.I.C.

VIC-Justice and Fairness
This month’s VIC is justice and fairness, I think that Jose should be VIC. I think that Jose should be VIC because he is just and fair. He is fair because every time we play a game and something is not fair he is one of the people that comes up with ideas to make it fair. This makes him fair because the game has to be even. Unless the game is supposed to be uneven. Also when we trade pokemon cards he want to make sure that the trade is fair and not a ripoff. This make him fair because he is making good trades and not a ripoff. Jose also is not a bully. This makes him just because bullying is a bad thing so when he not bullying it is a good thing. This means that he is just. He also follows the rules. This is a good thing because if he follows the rule than he is a good student. This is why I think that Jose should be VIC for this month.

I know everyone is fair in class but I think Janeth deserves an award because she is fair. Every time we play Janeth finds a way to be fair, when we are at the playground Janeth let people take turns every time we play tether ball and foursquare. Janeth never argue with her friends about who is gonna be first or last. Janeth is always fair by splitting some of her snacks with me. I think that Amari should be V. I. C for Justice and Fairness. This shows that she is just because she plays by the rules when she goes to the playground and follows them like the guard duties want kids to do when one time she was playing on the playground and it was wet she didn’t run at all because she knows that she will fall. She doesn’t pick on anyone by not saying hurtful words to a person like when she was outside talking to her friends and a person came up saying something to Amari that was hurting her feelings she calmed herself down. She is also a really smart, awesome, and really helpful girl . This also shows her that she is fair because she is a really great partner because when I am stuck on something like math doing it as a group she helps me if it was hard to do. She tends to share things with each other like the time when she was in the classroom and brought an apple and was sharing it with the group which was so nice of her. I think that I really enjoy being friends with Amari. All in all I think that Amari should be voted to be V. I. C for Justice and Fairness.

For V.I.C i’m picking Janeth. I’m picking Janeth because she is Fair and Just. She deserves this because she is always playing by the rules and she never cheats. It is because one time we were playing a game and she never cheats and she always plays by the rules. She never picks favorites. For example, she likes her friends the same way she likes everyone and when we were having P.E our class were playing a game and she didn’t pick the best team she picked the other team so she can help that team. She never picks on people for example, one time someone was picking at her and she decided not to pick at the person and decided to tell on the supervisor. For justice and fairness I believe that Payton should be VIC. He should be VIC because when something is not fair he sometimes makes it fair because when there was a book that he wanted and someone else wanted it they both took turns. He is just because when something bothers him in recess like other people being mean he says something to fix it fair. On the field he talks instead of fighting. An example is that some day the rules of soccer was only of eleven people for each team he said to divide people in half into teams of fourteen so that other people could play. All in all Payton should be VIC.
VIC-Justice and Fairness
I would like Angel to be VIC because he’s fair. One reason why I think Angel should be VIC is because he follows the school rules and character traits. This is a good example because the school’s field rules are not go and hurt people. Another reason why I chose Angel to be VIC is because he’s never mean to anyone. For instance he is never rude to the yard supervisors or any other children at recess time. The final reason why I think Angel should be VIC For Justice and Fairness is because he is always playing soccer fairly. This is an example because in school you don’t cheat. Therefore I believe angel should be VIC because of these three reasons.
