Please plan to come to Back to School Night this Thursday, August 20th in order to better understand your child’s 4th grade year. Introductions are in the Multipurpose room from 5:30 – 6. Then I will host 2 separate presentations at 6:05 and 6:40. Looking forward to meeting you and working together this year!

AR Trimester 3 Prizes
Posted onToday we recognized all the readers who have worked hard to sail across our board by earning AR points for reading. Mrs. Garcia, our fabulous librarian, awarded each child prizes based on the level of points they reached this trimester. Congratulations! Please encourage your child to keep reading all summer, especially if they are NOT listed below. Thanks for your support in this program.

Trimester Fluency Winners
Posted onEach trimester Ms. Umi and Mr. Lew hold a luncheon for our top fluency winners. The winners are calculated by the most growth made between trimesters. In trimester 1 Kelly and Clement received the award. Last trimester Nicholas and Jazilyn earned it. This trimester I am happy to announce new winners. Owen increased his fluency by 38 words and Sebastian increased by 39 words. Way to go, guys! They will be joining the special luncheon this Thursday. Please encourage your child to continue reading all through the summer. Thank you for creating an environment of literacy in your homes. It really does manifest SUCCESS!
Summer School
Posted onSummer school forms are being sent home today, by invitation only. All students who received one are required to have a parent signature on the front and return it asap, even if you would NOT like your child to participate. If you DO want your child to participate, please complete the back side of the form and return it by May 1st. This is a great intervention and enrichment opportunity, so please consider it carefully.
Spring Pictures
Posted onYour child is bringing home his/her spring pictures today. They came out really nice! 🙂 Please take a look and decide if you would like to purchase them. You can buy a portion or all of the package. Please return anything that you decide to NOT purchase. If you pay online, please include the reference number on the payment form and send it back. Your child is being held accountable for returning either the pictures, or payment, so thank you in advance for helipng them to be responsible.

Farmers’ Market Success
Posted onWhat a beautiful day to enjoy our FREE trip to the Farmers’ Market! The students enjoyed learning about new fruits and vegetables, and enjoyed buying some of their favorites too! Huge thanks to our fabulous chaperones – Ms. Salazar, Mrs. Orellana, Mr. Ulrich, Mrs. Kumar, Mrs. Baker, Mr. Narayan, Mrs. Ofoma, Mr. Sagar, Mr. Malone, and Mr. and Mrs. Li. Without these wonderful parents, this trip would not have been such a great success. Thank you, thank you!
Feast for Friends
Posted onWow! Thank you for all the contributions that made our feast for friends so plentiful! We had a variety of fruits and vegetables to balance out the yummy treats. We even had homemade Mac and Cheese Casserole, Meatpie, and chocolate covered strawberries! Almost everyone brought something to share. Thanks for helping to make this a fun day!
