The Elk Grove Unified School District Board is in the process of conducting an Executive Search for the District’s next Superintendent. Superintendent Hoffman announced that he is retiring at the end of the calendar year. Leadership Associates, an executive search firm, was selected to advise the Board in this important process.

Beginning in the 2025–2026 school year, California law requires schools to screen K–2 students for reading difficulties to help guide instruction.

 

Exemptions may apply for students with an IEP for reading or those who have a primary language other than English/Spanish. Parents/guardians can opt out their child at least 15 days before screening. Opt out forms are available in the school office.
