Homework

Reading journals-Every student should be reading 30 minutes nightly.  Students have a journal where they can focus on a daily skills after reading their accelerated reader book.  Daily skills are listed in the front of their journal.  Each entry needs to be at least a 1/2 of page long.

Math-There is at least one math assignment nightly.  Students will be practicing skills learned at school that day.

Science-Students will sometimes have an assignment in their Science Interative Guide.  Please have you child read the assigned  article and answer the questions. 

Spelling-Students usually have 2-3 spelling assignments a week.  This involves  writing words five times each, syllabication, or writing in ABC order. 

Writing-Students usually have at least one writing assignment per week.  Sometimes it will involve writing a summary or creating a vocabulary story using words from the weekly selection.

In my house we have lots of magnets.We have magnetism on our refrigerator,we also have toy magnets .Toy magnets are two magnets that you put together then you throw them up and they make a wierd noise .We also have some on our key holder .We have magnets of all shapes and sizes .We have round ones ,square ones , we also have triangle ones.
