Blogging Guidelines

Posting Messages
Use only your first name.
Do not post any photographs of you or your classmates.
Post a note to the whole group if your question is about something the whole group should know.
Don’t post personal questions to the group.
Keep conversations on topic.
If you’re not sure if a word or joke is okay, then it’s probably not. Refrain from posts that tease, bully, annoy, spam, or gossip about any other member.

Replying to Messages
Do not answer a question if you aren’t sure you know the answer.
Do not reply to a question if someone has already answered it correctly.

If you’re not sure what the post or comment is asking, get clarification.
Groups
If you think there is something inappropriate posted, tell a teacher immediately.

Punctuation, Grammar, and Spelling
Use standard academic language.
Do not use all capital letters to emphasize a point.
Use only one ending punctuation mark per sentence.
Refrain from repeating words unnecessarily.  i.e. Please, please, please…
Use the edit feature to correct your spelling and grammatical errors. Repeated punctuation, spelling, and grammar errors will result in your posts being removed and/or your status being changed to read-only.
If necessary, type your post in Word, use spell check, then copy and paste into the blog.

  1. G’day Mrs Groves and students,

Thanks for registering for the March 2014 blogging challenge. Make sure you visit the blog every week starting 9th March, when the first challenge was published.

If you want a reminder sent to your email each week, use the “Subscribe by email” on the right sidebar of the challenge blog.

Also make sure you visit blogs from other classes around the world with similar ages – see list in blog header.

Feel free to add the 2014 badge to your blog.
