My term four students and I are excited about participating in this student blogging challenge. We are mostly beginners, so we appreciate the chance to get started simply. We will do our best to learn how to do more and better posting, commenting, and configuring our blog site.
We are 7th grade world history students who live in California, but our families’ countries of origin are all over the globe. This picture shows red dots on the places of the world that our elder generations came from before they lived in California.
Where are you from?
Dear Mrs. Groves 7th grade,
We are an 8th grade class also from California! This is the first year for our class, but the second year for the class bog!
We are in the Bay Area, how about you?
We look forward to hearing back from you!

8th Grade Bloggers
Dear English Beat,
We live in the central valley of California. This is our first year blogging, so we may need some advice. We are looking forward to hearing back from you!
History Maniacs
Dear English Beat,
Our class is studying the Late Middle Ages this week. Learning about the crusades is kind of confusing because there were so many different battles.

Mrs. Groves Class,
I’m an Academic Coach in Arizona. We use blogging a lot in our district. I’m excited to see more students using blogging to write to a relevant audience. How are you enjoying your experience so far?
Erica Modzelewski
Erica,
Thanks for commenting on this post. As you can tell, students at my school don’t usually get a chance to e-communicate with other students during the school day setting. We’re all super excited that we can pave the way for more relevant and important communication and, hopefully, collaboration on projects and issues that concern us. Please tell us what benefits you see as veteran bloggers.
Mrs. Groves
Ms. Modzele,
We are gaining knowledge and experience, so we are enjoying blogging more and more. We especially enjoy learning about students around the world. For example, when we learned that students at our buddy school in Brunei didn’t know what a drought was, we were surprised. They told us that they never have such a problem and posted a picture of their school during a rain storm. Since our home, California, has been enduring drought for four years, we thought most of the rest of the world had experienced drought as well.
What is the weather and climate like where you live?
My students here in Brunei are very excited about learning about your students and life in America both now and then.
I look forward to a great future together.
Turtletania, Please thank your students for being willing to share their stories about Brunei, its history, and their lives. My students and their families are happy to have this opportunity to learn more about the world.
Dear friend,
My name is Ashlyn. I’m 14 and in the 8th grade.I go to Toby Johnson Middle School. I go to four, 90 minute classes every day except on Wednesdays we have 45 minute classes. When I’m not in school, I like to go to Starbucks and read. One of my hobbies is collecting snow globes. I travel love to travel so I have many of them. What is the name of your school and what do you like to do outside of school?
From,
Ashlyn
Sorry for not write a letter. We were very busy with the Book Fair at our school. Miss Tania organises the Book Fair and it is very very big.
There were many book shops and other things at the Book Fair. We have added so much to our Pupil Patch site for you to see.
We really liked the book fair so much this year.
Thank you for telling us about your book fair. I will go to your class blog to read all about it.
