*Report cards will be coming home on Thursday.

*In math we have just finished division and will be starting more difficult division next week.  We will be reviewing word problem strategies.

*In reading we have just started the unit on money.  Ask your child about the history of money. 🙂

*Senior Center-We will be going on March 21st.  This time we will have a spelling bee with teams made up of seniors and 3rd graders.  Let me know if you can come.

*Book orders will be coming home soon.  The books we ordered should be arriving soon. 🙂

All Stars Dip Fundraiser

Dear Families,

We are excited to share our latest school-wide fundraiser…All Stars Dips!  They’re great for every occasion (potlucks, parties, hostess gifts, etc.), and come in a variety of flavors (including dessert)! 

Our school will earn 50% of the profit from this fundraiser, and the money will directly support the classrooms. 

The fundraiser will run from Monday, March 7^th – Friday, March 18^th.  Orders will be delivered in early April.

Order forms will go home with your child on Monday, March 7^th, and all orders are due no later than 3/18.

Hi everyone,

We are in desperate need of tissue.  Please help!

The Emperor’s New Clothes was a cold read for comprehension.  That means your child read it on his/her own and answered the questions without any class discussion.

Senior Center-we will be goin on February 28th.  Your child will be presenting his/her dream job or invention project.  Let me know if you can join us! 🙂

We have a lot of runny noses.  Does anyone have a box to spare?

Your child should have brought home a sheet of paper with dream job on one side and invention on the other.  He/she has a choice to do either one.  Both involve writing a paragraph, but the dream job has an accompanying picture, and the invention will have a 3D representation.  The project is due on February 4th.

Join us at the Senior Center on January 24th.  We will be making Valentine’s cards and reading.  Hope to see you!
