Winter Break
Over winter break I was training for 7 hours everyday. That hard work paid off when it was Saturday December 14, 2013 the Winter Wonderland Gymnastics Meet. There were so many girls competing it was my hardest competition yet. The worst part is that when I was on beam I fell off, I was doing my ariel ( a no hand cartwheel) and didn’t land it ( lost balance). If you fall off beam its automatically 1 point off. After I messed up on beam I had to do my floor, bars, vault, and trampoline routines perfect. After everyone was done with their routines it was awarding time. In third place Ava Adams from Liberty Gymnastics, second place Megan Murphy from Technique Gymnastics, and in first place Tatiana Caban from Technique Gymnastics. I was so exited I thought wasn’t going to be in the top 3.

A Holiday Treedition
A holiday tradition my family and i do for Christmas is have a tree decorating contest. basicly we all get a little miniature tree and decorate it as best as we can.
How I Choose The Judges:
First gets everyone in a room, then I ask who wants to be a judge. If more than 3 people raise their hand I write their names on a piece of paper and put it in the hat. The first 3 names i pick out of the hat will be the 3 judges.
How I Decorate:
We only have 30 minutes to decorate our tree. I usually go with Christmas colors when I feel theres enough I add in some bright colored ornaments. Then I sprinkle a a little bit of sparkles, put the star on and i’m finished. I have been the champion for 3 years in a row.
The Judges Decide:
When everyone is finished they leave the room. The judges have five minutes to decied who wins. When times up everyone comes back in the room and the judges say winner.
What The Winner Wins:
The prizes are different every year this year the prize is going to be 4 movies tickets.

HOLIDAY RECIPE
A holiday recipe my family and I do for Christmas is a little, sweet, Laos dessert called kanom kok. In America there called coconut- rice pancakes .Kanom Kok is usually made on Laos New Year. Here is the recipe.
Ingredients
- 3 14-oz. cans coconut milk, or 1 3/4 cups coconut cream with 3 1/2 cups lighter coconut milk
- 1/4 cup plus 1 Tbs. sugar
- 2 1/2 tbsp tapioca or arrowroot flour
- 3 Tbs. uncooked white rice
- 1/3 cup shredded fresh coconut, or 1/4 cup dried, unsweetened shredded coconut
- 2 cups rice flour
- 2 tsp sea sat
- 2 to 3 tbsp peanut or corn oil
Optional Filling Ingredients
- 1/4 cup green onions, cut in thin rounds
- 1/4 cup fresh corn kernels
- 2 tbsp cilantro leaves
- my family adds green onions.

She finally had her first appearance appearing in Channel 3′s hottest and famous tv series of all time in 2010 called 4 Huajai Haeng Koon Kao taking in the role as Nam or Thipthara (Nam means water in Laos or Thai). The sweet face n’ek (n’ek means major girl in Laos or Thai) began her fame slowly and with the help of her wonderful manger Sasa Pimpasorn. Year by year, each time she appeared on screen. Goals!
Trimester 1
My goals for this trimester were like any other persons goals. Goals: To get straight A’s, good grades on my test, and talking less!! My mom always tells me to do my best everyday before I get out of the car for school. I know she always wants the best for me and thats a really good feeling to have. She says to me I rather have you succeed than fail. So I want to make her proud by doing my best in school 110%.
Trimester 2
My goals for trimester 2 are similar to my goals for trimester 1. Goals: on my tests nothing below a B+, no C’s D’s or F’s on any papers or work, less talking, straight A’s, and NEVER 0′s on any work. One more thing I dont want to have my mom to push me to do my best I want to to push my self to be the best!!

Korean Short Rib Stew with Dried Jujubes and Chestnuts:
Ingredients
- 21/2 lbs beef short ribs (bone-in)
- 5/8 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup mirin
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 9 cloves garlic (peeled and minced)
- 1 ginger (peeled and minced)
- ribs (cold water to cover)
- cold water (to cover ribs)
- 1 radish (small Daikon, cut into 1-inch chunks)
- 2 carrots (cut into 1-inch chunks)
- 2 red potatoes (cut into 1-inch chunks)
- 1 cup chestnuts
- 1 cup jujube (dried, pitted)
- 1 cup shiitake mushrooms (sliced; discard stems)
- sea salt (to taste)
- 2 cups short-grain rice
- 3 cups water.
Jujube Butter:
6 pints chinese jujubes
- 5 pints sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 lemon
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg

Let’s Travel
The place I’ve all ways wanted to go is Laos! Here are some reasons why i want to go to Laos. My first reason is Laos is my mom’s howmetown. So, I always wanted to vsit where she lived and learn more about my culture. Second is i’ve always wanted to try food from Laos. My mom makes Laos food but its not the same as eating food from Laos. Third is my cousin, Shanonn, travels all around the world with her husband abd she said Laos New Year in Laos is the best. People throw colored powder at people and there is a lot of food. Last is I can finally meet my couins in Laos that i’ve never met before their names are Maryfanta and Khanthatvonsa. Those were some reasons why I want to go to Laos.

Today at 9:15am my classmates and I went to the Mobile Dairy Classroom. The lady thought us lots of new and interesting facts about cows. Some facts I already new but, there were alot of facts I didn’t know about cows. The cow we met today was Snickers. These are some facts I learned about at the Mobile Dairy Classroom. Snickers is a holstien cow. She is 3 years old and she had her first baby at the age of 2. Did you know that cow have to have a baby before they can produce milk.Ussally humans are adults at the age of 18 but cows are adults at the age of 1. Most people think that cows have four stomachs but, thats not true. They have just one stomach with four chambers the rumen chamber, the reticulum chamber, the omasum chamber and the abomasum chamber. This allows them to digest tough plant matter that would normally be indigestible.

You Can’t See Me
If I was granted one super power it would be invisibility. Here are some reasons why I chose invisibility. My first reason is I could scare people and they would never know it was me. My second reason is I could take peoples food and they would think it was a ghost. The third reason is I don’t have to open the door to get to the other room, I could just walk through the walls. About Urassaya Sperbund Urassaya’s nickname is Yaya, and she was born on March 18, 1993. Her birthplace is Pattaya (Thailand). The languages she speaks is English, Thai, Norwegian, French, and she is currently learning Spanish.
Yaya Urassaya Sperbund is half Thai and Norwegian. She is the hottest breaking star in Thai at the moment. Her character as Jeed in “Duang Jai Akkanee” is fearless and daring. She has captured a lot of fans across Thailand. Before, Yaya could only speak 30% of the Thai language because she attended an international school where most of her friends were American and spoke English. After signing a Thai contract, Yaya had to learn more of the Thai language. Therefore, she had a special teacher to tutor her at home. As of right now, she can speak 80% Thai but she still can’t understand some words.
