Did you know that Halloween was not all was called Halloween? Halloween is right before All Saints Day and Souls Day. Halloween has change from 2,000 years ago. Back then 2,000 years ago instead of saying “trick-or-treat” people beg for food and after people give them food they would has to entertain them like dancing, sing, reading poetry,and more.
Halloween is celebrated on October 31. On Halloween adults and children dress up as with mask or costumes. According to kidzfeed.com it saids “The Celts, who lived 2,000 years ago in the area that is now Ireland, the United Kingdom and northern France, celebrated their new year on November 1.” Kidzfeed.com also states “We celebrate Halloween every year in such true spirits that it has become the second biggest festival after Christmas. It is the most favorite festival for kids as they are able to get huge amount of candies. The tradition of Halloween has been passed on to us for generations and in order to keep its true spirits alive we also need to teach our kids about Halloween.
All though Halloween is amazing. Halloween has a lot of back story. Knowing the backstory of Halloween it’s actually really exciting! Now you know how Halloween is based on family and the dead. Mostly you would think Halloween is about candy, costume, and decorating, but no learning about halloween is more than that. Halloween is amazing and fun but that’s not all people do for Halloween.
