Hello, I’m Ms. Adams, and I am very excited to teach fifth grade for my third year at Raymond Case Elementary. Over the past two years I taught the fourth grade here at Raymond Case. Before that, I taught 6th grade for thirteen years at four different schools: Prairie Elementary, Carroll Elementary, David Reese Elementary, and Joseph Sims Elementary.
I am mother to a five-pound Pomeranian puppy named Jacques Bleu. He is a big part of my life and influences much of my classroom instruction. I grew up near Folsom with my mom, dad, and brother, Billy. Billy is eleven years older than me and has Down syndrome. Growing up with a sibling with special needs taught me patience, to accept others’ differences, and to speak up against bullying and discrimination.
As a teacher, I love to help my students to realize their potential and to encourage a love for learning. I think it is important for students to understand the importance of creating a positive digital footprint. Here, students can begin to create a digital portfolio of their student work and receive feedback from their family, peers, and other students worldwide. Also, this digital and public platform will encourage students to publish their best work, with attention to detail and free from careless mistakes.
How old is Jacques Bleu? I want to ask because Champ is 11 pounds and is only 5 months old. It’s probably because his dad is half Shetland Sheepdog and Champ is a full-throwback pomeranian (that is where Champ got his adorable white paws!).
Jacques will be four years old this November and is only 5.5 pounds. Champ is already twice his weight! 🙂 And yes, Champ has adorable white paws!
Hi Ms. Adams! This is Trey. I miss you very much. I am in 7th grade now. I hope you see this.
Hi Trey! I miss you too! How’s the 7th grade? Are you enjoying all your classes?
