Katniss Everdeen has been pulled from the arena by the rebels and taken to District 13 to recover.  Peeta has been left behind in the Capitol in the clutches of President Snow.  As she recuperates, she is called up by the leadership of the rebellion to become their spokesperson, the one who will unite all the districts to overthrow the Capitol.
