Thank You For A Great Year!

Thank You for helping us grow!

Thank You for helping us grow!

We wanted to say a great big thank you for all that you parents have done for our 2014-2015 school year.  Your energy and excitement, volunteer hours and donations, and friendships have meant so much.  We had such a wonderful year being your child’s kindergarten teachers.  We hope your summer break is filled with many hugs, lots of reading, and great memory making.  Thank you again for a wonderful kindergarten school year!

D Track Kindergarten Promotion

It is finally here…our promotion day.

Please be sure your child is here early (our doors open at 8:10).   Once you have dropped off your child in the classroom, you may head over to the multipurpose room.  We will be using the doors by the parking lot.  Our ceremony will start at 8:30 and last for no more than 20 minutes.  After our ceremony is over, you are invited to join us in the classroom for special treats.

Before leaving our celebration (you may take your child with you), please stop by their cubbies to get report cards and other important information.  While you are there, please sign your child out on the papers on top of the cubbies.

*Food needs to be dropped off when you bring your child to the classroom.  Thank you!!

See you all in the morning!!

Important Information – Please Read

Wednesday Folders & Little Readers-If you haven’t turned them in please have your child turn them in ASAP (as soon as possible).  We have important papers to send home this week and we need all the Little Reader Books for next school year.

Memory Books-Friday we sent home our Kindergarten Memory Books.  In it you will find work and pictures from our whole year of kindergarten.  As we make them, we look back and can see how much each child has grown academically, physically, and in maturity.  We are also reminded of how lucky we are to be teaching this very special grade because it is filled with these wonderful children!  Enjoy!

Field Day-Wednesday,  May 27th, we have our Field Day.  All Kindergarten students come 8:20-11:40 a.m. and please have your child dressed in clothes and shoes they can run and play in.  If it’s anything like this morning, please send a little sweater/jacket.  Please apply sun screen at home as we can not do that here at school.  We will be outside all morning.  They will need to bring a snack for our picnic in the park.  If you have not turned in your permission slip, please send it in tomorrow.  Thanks!

5/27, 5/28, 5/29-Last three days of school for D Track!  Minimum days for D Track Kindergartners only from 8:20-11:40.

Nepal fundraiser

Our Sunrise Student Council is organizing a fundraiser to send money for the Nepal Relief fund.  This will be only a few days.  All donations are due on Friday.  If you want to donate, you may send coins or money into school with your child.  Each classroom has their own jar for collections.

Thank you!

Field Trip to the Harris Center

Next Tuesday, (April 7th) is our kindergarten field trip to the Harris Center at Folsom Lake College.  Both classes will attend a play put on by the California Theatre Center.  This will be a wonderful opportunity for our students to see a live production of the story Charlotte’s Web.  If your child would like to dress for the theater (“Sunday” best), they may, but it is optional.

This will be a minimum day (8:20-11:51 a.m.).  For both classes, please have  students here by 8:20, ready to board the bus (please have them use the restroom just before leaving home).  They will still need to bring a backpack with their snack in it, nothing else.
