Photojournalism: The art or practice of communicating news by photographs, especially in magazines

The difference between photography and photojournalism is that traditional photographers concentrate most of their efforts on posed portraits, and rarely capture candid moments. While photojournalism means to capture the real, true thing.

NPPA: The NPPA stands for National Press Photographer Association.  They have fought to promote and protect visual journalism.

NPPA Code of Ethics: This code is made to promote the best quality of visual journalism and to strengthen public confidence in the profession. Visual journalists and those who manage visual news productions are accountable for upholding these code of ethics.

The media needs ethics because these ethics deals with the distinct ethical problems, practices and norms of digital news media.
