School During First Trimester

The first trimester went well. My goal was to become friends with those who disliked me. I never thought it would be possible to become friends with them. I did what my sister, Kriti, told me to do and now we’re all friends. I reached my goal andI’m proud of myself. I only have one more goal for the rest of my school year, which is to walk the stage. My family is looking forward for me to walk the stage on the last day of school. My mom and dad want me to get straight A’s, but it’s not as easy as they think it is. They want me to become a successful person throughout life, that’s why I put my heart into studying. Kriti wants me to stay out of drama and fights, so I won’t get suspended. She’s the only reason why I ignore people who are problem creators. She wants me to be a lead by example and not follow crowd. I think I should change my behavior, while I’m in school. A lot of people think that I have a bad attitude. I try controlling my language at school, which goes pretty well. I barely curse nowadays and now people think I’ve become a new person. A person with a heart. I like my change. Not only is it a good thing, but it’s something that makes me proud of myself. Elementary school is leading me to take my first step into my future.

Favorite Fruit

My favorite fruit  is coconut. Coconuts are different from any other fruits because the contain a large amout of water. They grow on the top of the coconut palm tree. It’s a nut that primary consists of coconut oil, coconut water, coconut cream, and coconut meat, fruit. Once a cocnut is open, you can eat it plain or shredded. Coconuts are easy on the digestive system because of their low alkaline level, number of water to neuturalize an acid. We can give ourselves blood transfusion by eating or drinking anything that contains coconut. Coconut water helps remove dehydration.  Coconuts help to reduce fat, increase energy, help diabetes patients, improve digestion, remove wrinkles, and protect the body against diseases. India is the third largest producer of coconuts in the world. Coconut is also my favorite fruit because the coconut fruit is important in the Hindu culture. It is used as an offering to Lord Ganesha. The fruit is broken before the idol to remove obstacles. Coconuts have saved many human lives and plays and impotant part in Hindu cultures.

Dream Travel

My dream travel place is to Fiji Island. It’s also my homeland. I left Fiji in 2003, when I was two. Although I was young, I still know how Fiji looks like because of my flashbacks. I always wanted to go back there for a while. There are indian actors and actresses that go there to film movies. My grandma lives by sand hills. Behind the sand hills is a beach. There are many beautiful places to visit in Fiji. One of my favorite places to visit is the beach that we lived by. At the beach, you’ll see giant tortoises, crabs, and seagulls. My uncle uploaded a picture of my baby cousin on a tortoise’s back. I thought it was pretty cool. When I go to Fiji, I’m going to bring back a lot of memories. I love Fiji!

Mobile Dairy Classroom

Today, I learned some interesting facts at the Mobile Dairy Classroom. There, I saw a Holstein. A Holstein is another name for a black and white cow. Her name was Sneakers. She had a calf at age two. Sneakers has a long tong which she can use for cleaning her nose and picking up Alfa Alfa Hay to eat.  All cows are considered an adult at age one. Because of these dairy cows, we have dairy product. They produce milk and from milk we can make a lot of dairy products like ice-cream, yogurt, cheese, whip cream and especially milk. The cow’s milk has calcium in it. We need calcium for our body because it makes our bones strong and healthy.  I learned that cows chew their food in the back of their mouth, side to side. They repeat the chewing process twice. A cow has one large stomach in it’s body. Their stomach has four chambers. Each chamber has a different job.  Cows use their tail to swat away bugs. If a bug lands on its back, stomach, or shoulder, it twitches. A female cow is called a cow. A male is a bull. A baby is called a calf. A female cow that has not given birth to a calf is called a heffer. Learning about cows was so fun and interesting!
