Spring break is coming up! I have two weeks off for Spring! I have some plans for Spring Break but they’re not exciting. I just want to be at home, drawing or writing. I’ll write a small book just to keep my brain going. My parents will want to go somewhere nice and near, maybe San Francisco or Los Angeles. I’m fine with either or both. I just like to keep moving and flowing.

Who would I help, and why?
I would help my mom. I would help her with cooking, cleaning, and doing the lawn. I would help my mom because she does so much in the house, she needs a break. She won’t need to wash the dishes, because I already did. She won’t need to tell me to clean the table, because I did that. Then, she won’t be stressed out anymore. And when she needs help, I’ll be there very easily. She will live her life stress-free because I will help her. I love my mom.
Raymond Case is a Great School!
Raymond Case is a great school! A school is where you learn. Raymond Case is a great school because of the sports, the festivals or parties, and the staff.
Raymond Case has great sports. The sports make a great school because you get outside more. Usually, students are inside, but with sports, you can run, play basketball, dodgeball, and fun games. You also learn good skills. Learning skills challenge students to think and outsmart their teammates while having fun. While playing sports, you can make new friends. Being social helps with talking and just having fun. Although most people think sports don’t make a good school, I think they’re important.
Many people don’t like the festivals and parties, or just don’t think they are needed, but I think otherwise. When you’re at a party, you get have fun with friends out of school. You can talk and have fun with friends. You feel rewarded. After studying for a long time and taking many tests, you just get an A? At Raymond Case, we have parties and festivals to celebrate your achievements. These parties show we can have fun! We can show that having fun isn’t bad. Some people think parties are unnecessary, but I think they have value.
The staff are very important to have a great school. The staff always have nice attitude. Although they probably didn’t have a good morning, they’re out in the cold, in front of the gate, to say, “Good Morning!” The staff also teach us lessons, whether it’s on the playground or not. They teach how to be respectful and maybe teach some math. Another thing is that, they give you respect. When we give respect to them, they give respect to us. People say staff aren’t important, but I think we should acknowledge them.
Raymond Case is great school school because of the sports, festivals, and the staff. If you or your child are thinking of coming, come right over! I hope you come and visit us soon!
Ecosystems
When you sat down and thought about ecosystems? An ecosystem is an environment when everything depends on each other. An ecosystem contains animals, plants, water, soil, and many other things. These animals, plants, and soil need each other to survive. Some ecosystems are very different but carry the same features. As a desert may be different than a rain forest, they both have same features, such as animals, plants, and temperatures. As animals need food, we need ecosystems. Ecosystems give us water, food, and plants to grow and eat. But when you throw trash, plastic, and oil into ecosystems, we may stop surviving. If we takes a few minutes of our time to recycle and not destroy, we can live better with animals and plants. So take five minutes of your day to pick up trash and recycle.
Chinese New Year!
On the day of Chinese New Year, February 5, we get to see our family members! I get to see my best friend cousins and plenty more cousins. I get to greet my uncles and aunts. There’s usually a big snack, dinner, and dessert. It’s probably hosted by my grandma, where she wants to invite everyone! The kids would play, mess around, and talk while the adults would cook and bake dinner. Then, when dinner comes, the table isn’t big enough for everyone, so we would sit on the floor, the couch, or outside in the backyard! The dinner would be absolutely giant! With rice, noodles, fish, and soda to go around. The party wouldn’t end until everyone was gone! My parents wouldn’t leave until at least 3 families have gone. All in all, I love Chinese New Year. Planning a Party
I wanted to do something special for Halloween, my friend suggested that I plan a party for the class. And so I did just that. So I asked my teacher if I could plan the party in her classroom. She happily agreed. First, I set up a table in the back, where the food would be. The second step was to add decorations. I added a shelf for where the board games happened. I took cardboard, cut out ghosts, and painted, I made about 5 of them hidden in the room. I took the same process but drew different monsters. Then I bought some lights to add around the room. I added more games and made some food. At 5:00 most people came, but at 6, it was pretty filled. After the party a lot of people told me how much they like it. It was a successful party, and after, there was many more parties coming.
Facts About The Sun
There are many interesting facts about the Sun! A basic fact is that the Sun is really, really big, like, really big. Starting from the top, one cool fact is about solar flares! The biggest one happened in 1859, it blocked a lot of electricity but because it was 1859, no one really knew. Another interesting fact is almost a billion Earths can fit in the Sun, and the Sun would still need maybe 1000 more! Did I tell you that the Sun is absolutely gigantic? Also, if we got anymore heat from the Sun, we would burn and die. But if we got less heat from the Sun… we would still freeze and die. And did I tell you that the Sun is huge!? Did you know the the Sun is actully a pretty small star. Yeah, compared to other stars the Sun is kinda small! And now, those are only a few interesting facts to share today!
How to Write a Quality Comment
There are many steps to write a quality comment. The first step is to comment something very specific so you, and the author, can relate to something you enjoy. Relating is a good way to start a conversation. The next step is to add something relating to the topic. Adding and relating to something is the best way to socialize with someone. The final step is to ask a question relating to the topic. Asking a question is the best way to keep the conversation going. One bonus step is to always, always, check your spelling, capitalization, and punctuation. And those are the steps to write a quality comment.
Narrative Performance Task
Some time ago, a elder lady, maybe 60, was walking across the street. A clumsy driver was going over the speed limit and almost hit the lady! Luckily a young man named Theodore saved her just in the nick of time!
The elder lady thanks him and tells him she has been working on a cure for a bird disease and asks him, “Will you help me with this cure? These old bones don’t go as they go.”
The man happily obliged, “Of course ma’am!” After a few months they found the cure and millions of millions of birds have been saved! Which is why I have made this monument to celebrate the cure!
To make this monument, I started with the fundings. I told this story to the government and they happily obliged to! We did use donations as well, but the government paid the rest. Then, I made a model, I wanted the model to look like an owl, the one who has been the most cured. The model was a foot tall, and we wanted every inch was to be 10 feet. So on the model the eye was an inch long, so on the mountain was 10 feet long. We knew we wanted to monument on the California mountain near the forest and waterfall and we already measured, It fits perfectly! Then, we had to mark the mountain with red paint to get the access rock out of the way. We hired an expert to help with the explosives. After we marked every thing, it was time to explode! It went as smooth as butter! After that we added some finishing touches with jackhammers and drillers. And finally, after 5 years and half a million dollars, it was finished!
Today is the celebration of the cure and the monument. It has been a decade and some people still love to visit. Each year 500 people come and look at the monument. I have heard it has inspired many others to make their own, and I am very, very happy, each and every day.
