The photographer I researched on was Francesco Tonelli. He is a food photographer that is known for his skills and culinary arts. His photos are mostly simple with a white or black background and very modest. His pictures of food are colorful and sometimes looks very scrumptious to eat.

For my style of taking photos of food, I chose to do close ups and macro pictures. To me, the food can seem very appetizing when look upon closely. But either way, close and far views can be use differently. By incorporating the style of Tonelli’s photos, I try to style the subject of the photo a bit. If there were things I could change in the photos I took, it would be the background, view, and using different angles.

What I wanted to convey through my photos were the appearance of how food can look like and that if you do a little touch-up; then the view of the food would look more appetizing. Food photography can range in different ways from simple to creative. Taking pictures is what have taken it to a whole new level for it captures the characteristics of the food.
