Bugs Business

Have you ever wondered how bugs taste? This weeks article was “Bugs Business”, by Glenn Greenbern. By reading that article I knew that we should include bugs into our diet because, they are nutritious, they are sustainable, and they are tasty. My teacher, Ms. Adams, brung bugs to the class and I regrated not saying that I didn’t want to eat the bug when i got it, but then I remembered all the good reasons to eat the insects. One reason why we should put bugs into our diet is because, insects are nutritious.  In fact, in paragraph 4 it says that insects are packed with fiber, minerals, vitamins, and protein. Also, farmers know exactly what the insects are being fed, which also makes it healthier. Another reason is because, they are good for the environment. I know that because, in paragraph 6 it says ,” “To produce one pound of meat protein, you need approximately 2,000 gallons of water” he says. “With crickets, one pound of protein requires just one gallon of water,”” which means that farming insects saves a lot of water. Also, insects can be fed waste. In fact, it says exactly that in paragraph 6. The final reason would be because, they’re tasty. In fact, in paragraph 3, it says that the rest of  the world eats bugs, but Europe and North America find it distasteful. So, the rest of the world eats it because, it tastes good, not only because it’s healthy. In conclusion, we have many reasons to include insects into our diets.
