make sure your background looks good and not to plain, also know your surroundings

use different positions to make your photo look good. For example birds eye, ants eye and what not

use patterns to make the picture eye catching, the symmetry could also help

position lines in your picture too look good, to make the picture look different

Dont have your object straight in the middle of the picture, it looks better when its off to the side.

place the object you want to be looked upon between the horizontal and vertical lines.
