9/11 picture: the twin towers burning behind the Empire State Building

I chose this photo because it caught my eye while roaming through other photos. This is a photo taken on 9/11. The building in the front looks pretty nice, but the building in the back just got hit. The smoke from the plane gives the photo more affect. I like how it shows all the other buildings in the photo.

Photo Documentary

Photojournalist- the use of images in order to tell a story, the images may have text in order to explain the images. The difference between a photograph and photojournalism  is that a photograph is a picture made using a camera in which is focused onto film and then is made visible by chemical treatment. On the other side photojournalism is the art or practice of communication news by photographs especially in magazines. NPPA stands for the National Press Photographers Association, they are a professional society that promotes the highest standards in visual journalism. The code of ethics basically are rules that put restrictions on photographers. For example, it states that you aren’t suppose to pay people to be in your photos and to not take money from people for taking their photo. The media needs ethics because without ethics the media would be much more chaotic. I feel like the media most of the time twists the truth, i don’t believe everything i see on the media, especially with the celebrities.

Photogram

A photogram is a picture produced with photographic material such as light sensitive paper, but without a camera. The two artists that i found that have great photograms are Floris Neususs and Emilio Amero.

For my photogram i plan to use leaves and my little brothers toys from home and the way I position them will be random but I will try to arrange the items so the the photogram comes out unique.
