Extra Credit Writing Assignment-Easter Break

Extra Credit Writing Assignment
Dear Parents/Guardians,
I have attached a file for your student to write a science narrative. This is assignment utilizes their expository text skills learned in science and math. The worksheet includes the steps to follow to set up the paper in an organized way. Your student can use the skills he or she used in 4th grade to set up the paper. I would ask that for full credit, I need a copy of the worksheet turned in with the writing assignment.

Please take time to edit your students writing and allow them to practice revising their paper. Thsi is the biggest skill the students still need to master. Before turning it in to me, they need to edit it or have it edited fro eliminate the errors. Encourage the use of a Thesaurus to develop their knowledge of synonyms that will help to create boldness in their writing.

Thank you for your help and I look forward to reading your students’ refreshing stories!

Sincerely,

Mr. Fritzsche
