So today I will be explaining how to express a fraction as a decimal. I will use three fifths as an example. The first step is to divide the numerator by the denominator. Then once you divide you have your decimal. But why? Well it’s simple we divide the numerator by the denominator because we know 5 won’t go into 3 evenly. However you can regroup the 3 ones and make that into 30 tenths which is divisible by 5. In the end we get zero and six tenths.
