Superhero Research
- Who: Layla Williams
- I am interested in environmental themes which is why I want to choose a superhero with powers related to nature
- Flower Child
- She protects Sky High and rainforests
- Her power is Chlorokinesis (ability to control plants)
- She got her powers from her mom who can communicate with animals
- She does not need anything to activate her powers
- She came from the movie Sky High
- Danielle Panabaker
- One of the battles she fought was with her sidekick friends against the Royal Pain who used the Pacifier to turn everyone at the homecoming dance into babies. Luckily, Layla and her friends were able to stop the Royal Pain and return everyone to their original state. Layla and the squad also had to fight Penny, Lash and Speed. Penny has lightning speed, Lash has super stretch and Penny can replicate herself.
- Layla didn’t really have to overcome anything, except that the boy she liked fell for another girl who turned out to be the Royal Pain. She had to face bullying from the Royal Pain until Will realized what was happening and ended up kissing Layla.
- Layla is one of the very few female superheros who refuses to use her powers unless truly necessary.
My Super Power
- I chose chlorokinesis because I really like the idea of being able to control plants and communicate with nature. This is important to me because I can help endangered plants and/or animals. I can also replenish dying ecosystems and grow the trees that have been destroyed to make way for new developments.
- I can apply her caring attitude towards nature to my life. It doesn’t give me any advantages except that I would be able to control nature.
- My superpower is beneficial to the world because I can help environments and I can grow plants anywhere I want.
Homework
- My mom is a teacher and she is a superhero to me because she is amazing and helps society by teaching kids and helping them learn and grow.
