Welcome to Rio Cazadero High School. Rio is a continuation high school in the Elk Grove Unified School District and generally serves students who are behind in the credits needed to graduate. Since we are a small school (about 300 students) we are able to provide an atmosphere which may feel more personal and flexible and that allows us to focus on individual student needs in a safe environment.

Rio Cazadero has a strong academic tradition and the program is designed to challenge students. Rio Cazadero High School is accredited through the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). The academic program is aligned with the standards and expectations of the Elk Grove Unified School District and the State of California.

The program at Rio Cazadero helps to provide the support and assistance required for gaining the skills and knowledge that will enable students to be successful in school and beyond. The staff works hard to help all students even as they push the students to challenge themselves. Each of the students who attend Rio Cazadero is assigned a Contract Teacher who becomes their primary advisor while they are enrolled here. The role of the Contract Teacher is to help the student and is a primary reason for the success many students experience at Rio.

The staff at Rio Cazadero is here to assist students and parents in achieving their academic and personal goals. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
