EGUSD Will Host a Vaccine Clinic at Valley High School on May 23 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
ELK GROVE, Calif. – May 20, 2021 – Elk Grove Unified, working with many partners, created a social media campaign to encourage students 12 years old and up to get vaccinated. Superintendent Chris Hoffman agreed with the campaign efforts saying, “We encourage students, staff and families to get vaccinated sooner rather than later.” Getting the COVID-19 vaccine is a critical step forward as we look to fully reopen in the 2021-2022 school year. The social media vaccine campaign aims to increase turnout at local area clinics starting May 23 where EGUSD, in partnership with Sacramento County Public Health and Pucci’s Pharmacy, is offering a free Pfizer vaccine clinic at Valley High School (6300 Ehrhardt Ave., Sacramento, CA) on Sunday, May 23 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Valley High is the first EGUSD site to host a vaccine clinic. The clinic is intended for students and their families, but all will be welcome. Parents/guardians with students under 18 must complete their consent online or bring a completed printed copy to the appointment. Parents/guardians must also be present at the clinic for those under 18.
The Pfizer vaccine requires two doses to be fully vaccinated. Individuals who receive the first dose at the May 23 clinic must return on June 13 for the second dose.
Appointments for the May 23 clinic can be made online at http://www.egusd.net/covid-19-vaccine-clinic-plan/
Other available vaccine clinics can be found at https://myturn.ca.gov/
