2021 Graduation Ceremony Schedule for EGUSD Comprehensive and Alternative High Schools

ELK GROVE, Calif. – May 4, 2021 –  The Elk Grove Unified School District prepares two of its largest outdoor stadiums for unique in-person graduation ceremonies for the Class of 2021. Due to the current Sacramento County Public Health Order of social distancing and to avoid scheduling events with large indoor crowds, Elk Grove Unified opted to use their own facilities to celebrate their more than 4,500 graduates with in-person outdoor graduation ceremonies to be held at the Mark Macres Memorial Stadium at Monterey Trail High School and the Cosumnes Oaks and Franklin High School Community Stadium located at Cosumnes Oaks High School. Each school will have two graduation ceremony sessions to be able to safely accommodate the students and up to four guests per graduating student. In the case of Franklin High School with a graduating class of more than 663 seniors, there will be three sessions.

During the recording of the virtual graduations for all Seniors, Superintendent Christopher R. Hoffman congratulated the Class of 2021 stating, “Thank you for stepping into this space and meeting every challenge put before you. Your ability to navigate all that was put in front of you this year will serve you well in your next adventures…Today’s graduation is your commencement into adulthood and I am confident that you will continue to be the problem-solvers of tomorrow…Your integrity is seen and felt by many and is like no other.”

District staff and school sites will continue to work together on all graduation logistics, safety protocols and celebration efforts and will continue to keep students, parents and the community updated on all of the preparations for the Class of 2021 graduation services. Below is the EGUSD High School Graduation Schedule with dates, times and the locations of each high school’s graduation ceremony.
