Elected and Re-elected Trustees Take Oath of Office
 

ELK GROVE, Calif. – December 17, 2020 – The Elk Grove Unified School District (EGUSD) welcomed its newest Trustee, Sean J. Yang, to the Board of Education during the December 15, 2020 meeting. Additionally, trustees Nancy Chaires Espinoza (Area 6), Carmine Forcina (Area 7) and Anthony Perez (Area 1) were reelected to continue to represent families within the Communities of Elk Grove Unified. Yang, Chaires Espinoza, Forcina and Perez all participated in the administering of the oath of office that was conducted by EGUSD Superintendent Christopher R. Hoffman.

 

After the Swearing-In ceremony, the trustees nominated three board members to serve as board officers. The following individuals were unanimously voted in: Beth Albiani was selected to continue as Board President, Dr. Crystal Martinez-Alire was selected as the Board Clerk and Sean J. Yang was appointed to serve as the EGUSD Board Representative to the Sacramento County Office of Education.

 

Yang was elected to represent Area 3 after former Trustee, Chet Madison, Sr. stepped down from the Board announced his retirement wishes during the December 7, 2020 meeting after 20 years of service.
