In the novel we are reading, Dear Mr. Henshaw, the main character, Leigh Botts, has several things he wants: His dad to come back, his dog to come back, and to find out who is stealing his lunch. At the end of page 72, Leigh, who is already mad at his parents for getting a divorce, finds out two pieces of bad news. What are the two pieces of bad news he finds out, and how will this bad news affect how he resolves his problems? (Think: how will it make it harder for his problems to be solved?)

Leigh Botts finds out that his dad lost his dog Bandit and he is living with a woman who has a son. This will effect him from solving his problems because he is even more upset than he already was. Also this will make it hard for him to do anything without thinkig about his dad. I think Leigh will try his hardest to get through all of this drama.

One of the pieces of bad news is he finds out about is his dad lost his dog the other piece of bad news is that his dad is engaged. This affects him because he wanted his dog back and wants his parents to get back together.

One of his bad news is that he called his father,Bill on the phone .He heard some boy say “Hey, Bill,Mom wants to know when we’re going to get pizza?”. The second bad news is that Bandit got lost. Bill let bandit to get out of the cab.He thought that bandit will come back in the cab ,but he did not come back in the cab. It will be harder because he wants his father back and he wants his dog back and he wants to find out who is stealing his good stuff out of his lunch bag. He should resolve his problems by telling the ganitor and maybe tell his mother.

He was mad and sad about two things, his dog ran away and he heard a child talking to his dad saying’ Hey Bill mom wants to know if we are going to get pizza for dinner’. He was sad because he wanted to get his original parents back together again and his dog back.

There are two pieces of bad news for Leigh Botts.
One piece of bad news is Bandit ran away because Bill, Leigh Botts Dad had to put chains on his weels and let Bandit out, so he’s another trukers truk or he’s frozen to death up in the mountain.The other piece of of bad news is his dad Bills was talking on the phone and a kids said “Bills ,Mom wants to know if we are going to have pizza” means he might be married now or hi is living with his sister.

The two pieces of bad news are that Leigh’s dad lost bandit and also Leigh’s dad might have gotten engaged with another woman or is married with another woman. It will affected Leigh because it might affect his relationship with his dad or it might affect his own life in the future.

The two pieces of bad news Leigh Botts discovers are: Leigh’s dad let Leigh’s dog, Bandit, stay in the snow to freeze, and Leigh’s dad has another family. This will affect Leigh by feeling like he is being replaced and he won’t have a dog and friend to talk to.
