The family in Sounder is poor. They have little money, they live in a dilapidated cabin, and struggle daily just to get by. They eke out a living by doing various things. If one of those things is removed, would they still be able to survive?
In your best writing, describe the kinds of things the family does to make a living. Predict what would happen if one of their sources of income suddenly went away.

The family in Sounder is poor. The mom washes her neighbors laundry. The boy and his father hunt animals like racoons and possums. Sounder trees [ to hunt until animal climbs up a tree] the animals. If one of their sources went away they wouldn’t be able to survive. That is because they already live in a dilapidated cabin. They barely have money and education.

The family in Sounder is poor. They have little money, they live in a dilapidated cabin, and they struggle daily just too get by. If one of those things is removed they would die if they took out the wrong one and survive if they took out the right one.
The kind of things the family does to make a living is hunt. I predict that if all the sources of income suddenly went away they would die.

If hunting is removed they won’t be able to survive or eat. They will probably have to eat Sounder as meat or they would have to look for jobs so they could earn money and buy food. Also they would have to eat left over scraps like biscuits and walnuts and kernels. They would have to send sounder out at night and have him not be caught hunting animals like raccoons, possums, etc. They could also get kicked out the sharecropping farm they won’t even have beans to eat. That is what I think the boy’s family would do if one of those things is removed.

The family of sounder is poor. They are sharecroppers, one of the things to earn money is that the mom does the laundry for the people that live in front of them. The father and the boy hunt possums, raccoons, and Sounder trees raccoons. I think that if sounders family lost one of those various things they would not survive, because they are poor.

In the novel, “Sounder,” the family does various things to make a living. For instance, the family farms and sharecrops. They also cook walnuts and wait for them to fall each year after the first hard frost. Additionally, his mother washes his pillowcase/laundry just like she does for the other people who lives in the big house down the road. Lastly, they are hunting for raccoons and possums for meat. If one of their sources went away, I predict the family will become more poor, and not be able to consume food. For example, they hunt for food and if they can’t hunt, they wouldn’t be able to survive.

I think you really took time and described this in your best writing, based on the fact that you put lots of details and examples.

Sounder’s family is poor and sharecroppers. The mom has to do laundry for people to get money and the dad and Sounder hunt animals and sell them to people. If one of these were taken, they might not be able to survive. If they lose the house and crops, they won’t be able to survive. If the hunting is taken away, they won’t have enough money. If the laundry cleaning is taken away, they won’t have enough money.

In the story, ‘’Sounder” a poor family looses a source of food that they need. First, one day the father in the family goes hunting with his dog Sounder. When Sounder went hunting with the father one night, they came home with nothing because the raccoons and the possums went to the big waters. Second, the family could still survive because they got money from sharecropping, cooking, and washing clothes. Third, they had walnuts for dinner that helped them survive. They had shelter and money to survive. Last, Sounder and the family could still survive because they had all the things to live.

If the family lost one of their source I think the will not survive. I think they will not survive because they won’t be able to buy it since they have very little money. For example if they didn’t hunt for food they will run out of their food since they are unable to buy it and starve

In the novel Sunder family is poor and lives in a dilapidated cabin. A father and a son has to go and do hunting . Also, they have to wash clthes for people next door. Another thing is that the father has to do sharecropping. They have to do these things for money and food. If one of their sources of income suddenly went away they might die.

You should take time to copy things and put it in microsoft word and check your spelling.

In the novel, “Sounder”, the poor family did various things to make a living. One thing the family does to make a living is hunting raccoons and possums for food. Another way the family makes a living is by farming. They farm vegetables such as corn. Also, the family sells kernels to make a living because they could earn money out of it. Last but not least, the family does laundry to make money. Even though if one of those things the family does to make a living is removed, I think they would not survive because they are already poor. That is some things the family does to make the living.

In the novel titled Sounder is mainly about a boy and his dog Sounder with little money, living in a dilapidated (weak; bad condition) cabin, and they are struggling to get by with what they already have. The family works very hard just to make a living. The father is a sharecropper, and the boy just hunts with Sounder.
If one of there resources just suddenly went away, I think the boy, Sounder, and his father won’t survive. I think that because both of there resources are vry important, if they just lose one, it is going to be very hard to survive.

In the novel, “Sounder” the family does many things to earn money. One of the things the family does to earn money is to do sharecropping, which is when someone works a whole field, but only receives a portion of what they have cultivated and grown. The family also washes clothes for the people who live in the big house. To earn money the family would sell the kernels of walnuts and would receive fifteen cents a pound if the kernels were mostly half-kernels and dry. The family would also go hunting and sell the coonhide (the hide of a raccoon). The family in Sounder is very poor, but they found ways to survive. If the family in Sounder lost just one of their methods for earning money I think they would not be able to survive. I think they would not be able to survive because they already make little money and they survive on that money, shown in the fact that they have a dilapidated cabin. Also because the family needs to have shelter, food, and water and it might be expensive to get food other than what they hunt and gather.

In the novel, ‘’Sounder” has to accomplish many goals to survive. One of the things the family does to survive is wash clothes. The mother washes clothes every week for the big house, as well as her family. Another goal the family has to complete is sharecropping. Share cropping is when either a group of people from one family or one person farms majority of the crops and only gets a small portion of their work. The mother also has to complete this job for the family as well. When she completes this task, she would sell the kernels of walnuts rhat she cropped and make fifteen cents a pound if the kernels were mostly half-kernels and dry. Third, the family would also hunt coonhide [skin of raccoon] and possums with Sounder [their dog] to feed on. Even though the family is poor and struggles day by day just to survive, they were still able to accomplish the goal of finding ways to get through. Since they struggle to survive each day, I think if one of their sources suddenly went away they would not survive. They would not survive because if their huntings skills went away, they would have to eat corn mush and that probably wouldn’t fill the amount of hunger for your stomach. Or if their sharecropping went away they would not be able to sell the walnut kernels anymore. So that means they would not have been able to save up to buy other supplies for their dilapidated, old cabin. That is why I think they would not be able to survive if one of their sources went away.

In the novel “Sounder” The boy and his family lived in a dilapidated cabin and they’re poor. The things that the family does to make living are the mother asks rich people if she can wash their clothes for money. Also, other things that the family does to make living are the dad and Sounder hunt .Last thing that the family does to make living is the mother sell walnuts. If one of those things removed they won’t survive.

The family in Sounder is poor. If they lost the father the boy who we still don’t know his name would take the father’s place in farming and hunting. If the family lost Sounder they whould still be alive but I think they whould be sad for about three weeks and then get over it.

I think the family is really poor, and I don’t know who would take the dad’s place in hunting. So the family is really poor.
