There are 50 states in the United States of America. The mainland is surrounded by the Pacific Ocean to the west, the Atlantic Ocean to the east and the Gulf of Mexico to the south. 1/10 of the states border the Gulf of Mexico. How many states border the Gulf of Mexico.
