It is with great pleasure that I welcome your child to fourth grade. We can all look forward to a very exciting and rewarding school year that will be filled with excitement, fun, and learning. I believe that learning can be an enjoyable journey, where in the end, we can all grow and develop a true love of wisdom, discover our strengths and weaknesses, and strive for excellence.

A child’s education is greatly enhanced when there is a partnership between students, teachers, and parents. I value open communication between home and school, as this is essential to help your child have a successful fourth grade year. Please do not let too much time pass before expressing your concerns or frustrations about an issue as I cannot help with a situation if I do not know what is going on. Miscommunications and animosity occur when an issue is not addressed immediately. You are free to contact me through notes, phone calls, or email. I’ll be glad to set up an appointment either in person or by phone. Feel free to visit our room at any time, but please let me know in advance if you are planning a visit so that if you wish to assist us, materials will be ready for you.

My goal is to always provide a positive and consistent atmosphere in my classroom. I have the same expectations for all of my students, which is, I expect them to do their best, complete their work (classwork and homework), and learn how to be responsible for their own actions and behaviors. I believe that by working together, we can achieve these goals.
