How to show evidence in Final Draft!

For showing evidence, students need to be able to say where they found the information in the book.

Students also need to refer to the title and author of the selection near the beginning of their writing.

They do not need to show evidence every sentence, but I would like to see it at least once in each of the body paragraphs.

For example:

The Mongol Mimbres were an ancient civilization known for their process of decorating seashells with acid cactus sap (page 158).

OR

Mesa Verde is located in the wonderful area near Colorado and New Mexico.  I found this information on the map on page 149 of the text, “The Search for Early Americans” by Sheila Cowing.

Later this week we are going into more detail on what it means to show evidence.
