Security System Upgrade
Project Dates: July 2019 – April 2020
Installation of new security cameras with associated materials and software. The school is one of six (6) pilot sites at which a new security camera system will be implemented and evaluated for its suitability of use at EGUSD sites district-wide. Installation will be completed by the end of 2019 with system testing during the first quarter of 2020.

Fire Alarm System

Installation of new campus-wide fire alarm system.

Lighting replaced and upgraded with more energy-efficient fixtures in the main and auxiliary gymnasium.

Interior lighting replaced campus-wide.

Dust Collector Replacement
Project Dates: May – November 2018
Replacement of the existing dust collector serving the woodshop and reconnection to the existing duct work system. Existing ducts cleaned.

Scoreboard
Project Dates: June – September 2018
New 24′ x 8′ energy-efficient LED electronic scoreboard installed for football, soccer, and track events.

Track & Field
Project Dates: July 2017 – June 2018
Upgrade of the athletic field from decomposed granite/grass turf to an all-weather track and synthetic turf field. Both surfaces now have increased playability, extending the playing season and making them less susceptible to damage from overuse. The Mondotrack surface is specifically designed for superior athletic performance; it provides the optimum blend of shock absorption and rebound elasticity for all track events.

Roofing, HVAC, Lighting & Painting
Project Dates: July 2017 – April 2018
New roof installed with composition shingle roofing where skylights were replaced. Parapet cap flashing metal was replaced with new pre-finished cap flashing. Replacement of existing HVAC roof top package units on ten (10) permanent buildings and BARD units on seventeen (17) modular building classrooms. Replacement of 29 rooftop skylights and their automated metal shade or louver system, as well as exterior wall- and soffit-mounted light fixtures with new LED lights. Repainting of the entire campus with sealant applied to all natural finished brick veneer.
