Chipotle
Chipotle Mexican Grill, the best place in town to get a good burrito, burrito bowl, quesadilla or even a salad. I go to Chipotle at least once a week and have tried everything on the menu so I would be a great spokesperson for this establishment. This is a very popular place amongst teenagers and some adults hopefully his photo essay gets it the recognition it should have for having great food.
Chipotle has every interesting background giving the fact that they opened in 1993 at a former dolly Madison ice cream location. In 1995 they added their second and third location then the next year 5 more in the Denver area. They then brought outside investors in and opened some outside the state in Minneapolis and Columbus. In 1999 Steve Ells learned how to raise pork then the very next year Chipotle started serving naturally raised pork. As of now all of the foods served out of Chipotle are naturally raised on their very own farms.
Steve Ells is the founder of chipotle Mexican Grill and also a chef. When Ells opened the first Chipotle in Denver, Colorado he did not have any intentions on opening anymore. He was more focused on building a place where he can serve good, healthy, affordable food. He then realized the way the food in the United States is produced and wanted to find a way around producing them in such a bad way. He talked to ranchers and farmers and decided to raise his own livestock.
When you first walk into chipotle there is always a long line wrapped around the restaurant but the wait is always worth it. But if you go around 5 on the weekdays it shouldn’t be too crowded (when I went). Once you get the front you tell them exactly what you want. They ask you what you want then the type of beans, rice, meat, salsa, and if you want sour cream cheese or guacamole. What I usually get is a burrito with pinto beans, white rice, chicken/steak, mild salsa, corn salsa, cheese and sour cream. The burrito usually adds up to about 7.20. Hope to see you there soon.
