The Last Olympian – Rick Riordan

This book is the fifth and final book in the Percy and the Olympians series, so don’t read this book until you read the first 4. The story starts when Percy goes with Nico to the underground lair of Hades, lord of the dead. Nico leads Percy to the River Styx, where Percy bathes and somehow, because of the River Styx, becomes invincible. So invincible in fact that he defeats Hades the lord of the dead in a fight. Percy goes back up to the real world and organizes all of the halfbloods to fight and protect Mt. Olympus, the home of the gods. With Kronos and his armies quickly approaching and the halfbloods scrambling to make defenses. Who will win, in the last and final battle for….The Last Olympians.

  1. I licked it when Percy awakens the metal statues around Mt. Olympus. It was also cool when redcoats were shooting at percu and the bullets bounced right off him. It was sad when Beckendorf died. Nice Job.

  2. I loved this book so much, that I finished it in two days. You did a good job explaining the book and a mysterious ending on your review. My favorite part was when Percy was going up the elevator to Mt. Olympus, when the song “Staying Alive” started playing and he got a vision of Apollo dancing on the dance floor and wearing a silk shirt and bell-bottom pants.

  3. I liked this book a LOT. It cracked me up a lot. My favorite part was when the Hyporborean squished Kronos. It was very funny!

  4. this book completely BLEW ME AWAY!!! It has everything: romance, action, suspense. I love how Percy and Annabeth fall in love at the end. You can really tell that the characters have matured a lot and it makes me want to start at the beginning all over again. So basically I LOVED the book and I think it was the best book in the series BY FAR!!! I am really going to miss this series a lot!!!!!!!
