Tad, who is twelve years old, is like any other fisher boy. He’s always wanted to be a famous and remembered person. He tries very hard to be that person and spends most of his time doing it. As a result, he doesn’t realize that the forest is drying up. Tad starts to get flashbacks of a “past life.” So, Tad begins a quest with his sister, Birdie, to find the Waterstone and bring water back to the forest. Along the way he will meet creatures, make friends, and verse a dangerous evil that he never thought of confronting. I liked this book because it is very adventurous. I think this book will entertain boys and girls. My favorite part was the ending of the book.
