The BFG, by Roald Dahl, is about a girl named Sophie who gets stolen out of her bed at night and whisked off to giant country, which is also known as The Land of Nod. Once she is in The Land of Nod, she learns that the giant who stole her has the name of the BFG. After tasting repulsive snozzcumbers, and whizzpopping with frobscrottle, she learns that there are nine other giants who go off every night to eat people alive.
