This story is pretty confusing at first. Basically, a 14 year old boy named Bobby finds out that he has to leave everything; his home, his friends, and his world! His uncle Press whisks him away to Denduron, the very first Earth. You see our earth is only the second earth. Pretty amazing isn’t it? Anyway, Bobby goes onto a sled with uncle press and they are being chased by quigs. Quigs are monsters unique to all the different territories (territories are like countries or states). Will Bobby find out what he is suposed to do in Denduron? How will he get home? Well you have to read the book to find out. I think boys would like this book better then girls and I would give it an 8 out of 10. Enjoy!

Nice Blog Garrett! I also read Pendragon: Merchant of Death. Merchant of Death is the first book in the Pendragon series.
This book is told from two different stories. One is Bobby’s adventures inside the First Earth, Denduron, and the second is Bobby’s best friend, Mark, reading his adventures inside a journal. Mark gets these journals because Bobby sends them to him using a special transport ring…
Bobby’s uncle, Uncle Press, is a Traveler meaning he can travel to different worlds. Uncle Press takes him to the first Earth, Denduron. They are attacked by twelve quigs! Quigs are vicious and ferocious animals that are tall and dangerous. They are left by someone who tries to banish Travelers from traveling. They got away but, Uncle Press is kidnapped by the knights of Bedoowan. Bobby meets Alder and Loor while finding Uncle Press. Together, they all travel to save Uncle Press with tools from Second Earth, Bobby’s home (our home). But, will they ever save Uncle Press? Will they be able to escape from the person who set up the quigs? And most importantly, will Bobby ever be able to go home or will he be stuck in a world full of evil? But, in this world he has met new friends. If he is able to leave, will he be able to leave them behind?
I really loved this book! It is definitely fantasy and it is worth 18 points. I finished in a day. I love the author!

Heather C. Enjoy!^^
The merchant of death is an awesome story about Bobby Pendragon. It is weird how Saint dane or Mallos is able to send a quig shark through the flume. I thought the flume only worked for travelers. A quig is not a traveler. I like tak. It blows up on contact and does pretty decent damage. I remember when Press threw a tak at the quig’s mouth. It blew up. I can’t wait to read The Lost City of Faar.
The Merchant of Death is a book in the Pendragon series. It is by D.J Machale. This book tells about a boy named Bobby Pendragon. He has a normal life until his Uncle Press tells him one day that he needs to become a traveler. A traveler goes into different worlds to save them from destruction and havoc. Once Pendragon becomes a traveler, he goes on many adventures and more. I think people who like adventure should read this book.

The Merchant of Death by D.J. Machale is the first book in the Pendragon series. It is about a boy named Bobby Pendragon who discovers that he is a traveler who travel to Denduron(the first earth) and save the world from making a disaster. His Uncle Press shows Bobby how to travel through a flume to Denduron. When they were at Denduron, this tribe called the Bedoowan capture Uncle Press to their leader,Kagan. Bobby meets this new traveler named Loor as he slowly discovers his destiny of a traveler. Bobby, Loor, and Alder, this knight who is also a traveler, rescues Uncle Press. This book has lots of adventure in it and it is a fantasy. I would rate the 8.5 out of 10. I would recommend this book to boys and girls ages 10 and up. Although, I think boys would like this book better than girls.
