The Mysterious Benedict Society – Trenton Lee Stewart

The most wonderful, mysterious, clock-ticking book I’ve ever read has the formula for sticking people to it’s everlasting pages full of intimidating words. The Mysterious Benedict Society is made up of four members who are, Reynie (Reynard) Muldoon, Sticky (George) Washington, Kate Wetherall, and Constance Contraire. They all entered a contest for gifted children and they all were the only four who passed. But answering all the answers correctly wasn’t what got them in; what got them in was Mr. Benedict’s(the inventor of the tests) impression of them being talented, the fact that they’re children, and the fact that they’re all alone. Each and everyone of them were either runaways or orphans. They proved themselves gifted alright, and now they’re on a mission to the Institute on Nomansan Island. The owner and builder, Mr. Curtain, has been using children to broadcast messages. These special messages will soon be heard every human being, making them lose their fears and memories of the past, on Earth and it’s up to The Mysterious Benedict Society to find out why and how. Sacrificing some things and risking others, the four children face many awful things that could easily take over them or may be even possibly… Ruin their friendship. Please read The Mysterious Benedict Society very carefully and I hope you understand how friendship could defeat anything and that sacrificing and risking is the only rule in being a spy. Every boy and girl on earth should read this and I know you will, so take your time and read this novel! And since I’m so emotional, I’ll tell you that I love the bonding between the four children. Even if one of them is a pain in the butt, or if one of them is a total scaredy-cat, they are always there for them. That is what friendship really is.

  1. Four kids… one test… ONE MISSION!

In this book, The Mysterious Benedict Society, it all starts out when an ad is put in a newspaper. Eventually, thousands of kids enroll to take mind-bending tests that result in a secret mission. Only 4 kids pass, Reynard Muldoon, George Washington, Kate Wetherall, and Constance Contraire. They are all about to take part in a secret mission, but, there is one dilemma. As their friendship builds, the mission tears them apart. Will they chose to proceed with the mission? Or will they drop the mission to save their friendship? You have to read The Mysterious Benedict Society, to find out!

    My Rating:
I LOVED this book, and would give it a 10 out of 10! It would appeal mostly to boys and girls that are interested in action and mystery.

  2. In the book The Mysterious Benedict Society by Trenton Lee Stewart four kids go on and excting and suspenceful adventure. It all starts when Mr.Benedict puts out an ad in the news paper sying if you are a gifted child to come and take this test. So that’s exactly what Reynie, Sticky,(gorge) Constance, and Kate did. After they all passed the test through qualites or just getting all the answers correct they met with Mr.Benedict himself and his two helpers Rhonda and Number Two. Plus Milligan they’re body guard. Mr.Benedict tells them how they will be taken to an institute as normal/secret agent students and have to find a way to stop Mr. Benedict’s long lost twin brother, Ledroptha Curtain from taking over the world with his mind reading, brain sweeping machine. You will have to read the book to find out if the kids make it out of there alive or are doomed for the waiting room.
