Tunnels by Roderick Gordon and Brian Williams is a great book. I enjoyed it a lot.
Tunnels is about a fourteen year-old boy named Will Burrows who has a desire for archaeological digs just like his mysterious father, Dr. Burrows. When Will and his best friend Chester Rawls are digging a tunnel in Highfield, which is where they live, Will’s parents get into a huge argument. A couple days later Will tries to look for his dad but can’t, he’s not in his office, not at home, not anywhere. He just disappears. So Will and Chester decide to investigate. While searching they find a little tunnel behind a bookcase in Will’s dad’s office. Once their deep into the tunnel they find something, not his dad but an underground city called the Colony. They face many obstacle and meet many friends and dangerous enemies. Will they find Will’s dad or end up running for their lives? If you want to find out you got to read Tunnels. This book is adventerous, thrilling, and has a lot of secrets behind the characters. I would recommend this to both boys and girls of any age, though it’s a bit long. This is the first book of a three part series. The other two books are Deeper and then Freefall. Read this book, it’s one of my favorites.

The book Tunnels is about a boy named Will Burrows and his friend Chester Rawls. Everything starts to get messed up when Will’s parents, Dr. Burrows and Mrs. Burrows, get into a fight. A few days later Will starts to become curious because he hasn’t seen or talked to his dad since the fight, so Will and Chester decide to search for Dr. Burrows. While they are searching they find a secret tunnel behind a book case in the cellar. The cellar was the last time that Will had seen his dad. Will and Chester pack their bags and headed into the tunnel. After a while of searching the tunnel they find an underground city that amazes Will and Chester. After a little bit of exploring they get arrested for sneaking into someone’s house. After being in the cellar for a while a boy named Cal and his dad come to visit Will and they take him out of the jail. When Will gets to Cal’s house they tell him they are his real family. To find out if they are his real family, if Chester will escape the jail, and will they find Dr. Burrows. You’ll have to read the book Tunnels. This book is Science Fiction and I would recommend to boys and girls. It has a lot of suspense and is exciting. I agree with Joshua on everything and he got all the facts right. I hope you will read this book.
