This book is the 4th book in the Ranger’s Apprentice series, so don’t read this book unless you read the other three. Anyways, everything is going well in the mountains with Evelyn and Will until Evelyn gets captured. Will tries to get her back but in the process, meets his teacher Halt and his best friend Horace. After saving Evelyn and a tearful reunion with his mentor, they are suddenly surrounded by Skandian Warriors.
