Dragonspell-Donita K. Paul

This book is the first book in its series. The book is about a servant girl named Kale who finds a very small dragon egg. Kale is an O’rant, one of the high races. The high races are like us, humans and Wulder made them. On the other hand, Pretender, the villain in this story, tried to create humans and altered the high races to make the low races. Kale is trying to get to Vendela and the Hall so she runs away from her masters. But after she she runs away she gets chased by Grawligs. She hides in a cave to escape them. Grawligs are like big hairy, stinky, and unintelligent trolls. They are also one of the low races. Then Kale finds out that 2 people had rescued her, Dar and Leetu Bends. She finds out these to people will help her go to the Hall and bcome a servant of Paladin. Paladin is a friend of Wulder so, you can assume that he is a good guy. With her newfound companions Kale faces many dangers along the way to the Hall. Like… oh sorry I’ve gone too far into the story I can’t tell you anymore. Well if you want to find out what happens next you’re going to have to read the book yourself. I think girls and boys should read this book even though it’s about a girl. Enjoy!

  1. This is a very interesting site. I didn’t know it existed until today. Thanks for the very cool review, Garrett, and also thank you for not giving away plot points. Do you realize some professional reviewers still make that mistake?

DragonQuest is the 2nd book in the DragonSpell Series. I must say it is the best christian fiction I have ever read. I am also very impressed that the hero is a girl. Way to go Donita! But I’m getting off from the subject. Kale (the heroine) is chasing after her friend Dar. Dar is a doneel. Doneels are one of the seven high races. They’re furry little people that love to be elegant. Kale is an O’rant. O’rants are also one of the seven high races. Which can be compared to our fairly tall people. Dar is having one of his adventures and of course Kale is trying to stop him. With Dar getting into trouble Kale runs into another doneel named Toopka, who is just as troublesome as Dar. Well, Kale is put in charge of Toopka. When the three return to the Hall, the Grand Ebek sends them on a mission. It seems that the Wizard Fenworth needs some help with a meech dragon named Regidor,no surprise that Fenworth needs help with the meech! The meech dragons are dragons known for being able to have the power of speech. Gand Ebek also assigns Bardon, who is a pain in the neck,to accompany them on there quest. Before they even begin there journey, the evil Wizard Risto(the enemy in this book) sends Creemor Spiders to get rid of Kale. Kale luckly lives after having the Creemor Spider poison hit her arm. Well, everyone gets through the portal to Fenworths house. Once Kale wakes up from being poisoned, she has to start training the know it all dragon Regidor. But Paladin(the lord in this book) interrupts the training for Kale and the others to go on another mission. Well, I should stop before I reveal to much of this fantastic book. It is a really interesting book for any age and gender. It teachs about the battle of good verses evil. Praise Donita may the lord bless you through your work. It really plays a picture in anyone’s mind. It really should be a movie.

I hope you enjoy this book,
    Devon W.
